Find a Publication



You can search for publications using the Find a Publication search bar on the eLibrary Minnesota (ELM) portal home page.

Simply enter the publication title, click on Full Text Access, then choose one of the listed databases. From there, you can browse past issues, search for topics within the publication, or set up an email alert. See below for some popular titles. 


The American Scholar  - Focuses on American literature, presenting essays on public affairs, literature, science, history and culture.

The Chronicle of Higher Education - News, information, and job ads for college and university faculty.

Diverse Issues in Higher Education - Covers issues & events affecting diverse groups in higher education.

Education Week -  An award-winning independent news organization that has covered K-12 education since 1981. It is known for providing both news and analysis, along with explanatory and investigative journalism.

Educational Leadership - Articles presenting a variety of viewpoints aimed at leaders in elementary, middle and secondary education, those interested in curriculum, instruction, supervision and leadership in schools.

Horn Book Magazine - Includes reviews of the best children's books published, articles about children's books, explorations of children's books from every perspective and news of the children's book world.

National Geographic - Articles deal with interesting people, places, customs, activities and nature on a worldwide scale. Also covers National Geographic Society expeditions and discoveries.

NEA Today - Recent national and international news of note for all members of the National Education Association, articles on innovations, pay and investment, curriculum debate and legal issues.

Phi Delta Kappan - Designed to advance educational research, service and leadership, emphasizes issues, trends, policy decisions.

School Library Journal - The most complete provider of news, information and reviews for librarians and media specialists who serve children and young adults in school and public libraries.

Scientific American  -  Authoritative articles on all sciences by scientists who do the research reported. Features science and the citizen, computer reactions, the amateur scientists, reviews of current books in science and bibliographies.

Smithsonian - A monthly magazine created for modern, well-rounded individuals with diverse interests. It chronicles the arts, history, sciences and popular culture of the times.
